Capital Q BBQ

 Stardate 65650.6

15:45 - Finding good Texas BBQ in this fair city can be an extreme task. Sure there are plenty of North Carolinian BBQ joints around stinking up the place. You can search long and hard and only come up with these NC places.  A Texas BBQ diner is the jewel of the Potomac. As hard as it can be, we found a new place in the heart of Chinatown, named Capital Q BBQ.  This joint pays homage to the best type of BBQ: Texas BBQ.
Everything about this place speaks to its Texas origins. The owner, a Port Arthur native, built a temple to Texas with pictures of Texas representatives on the wall, collard greens and spicy corn in the food bins, and beef and pork slopped on buns. The greatest testament their Texas roots is the sauce. A tangy, spicy condiment, a BBQ sauce should not be sweet or vinegary. Tangy and spicy is the goal, nothing more, nothing less. This sauce lives up to a Texas sized reputation. I lied; the greatest testament is this little dollar bill. Thanks and Gig'em!
