Cherry Blossoms

Stardate 65691.9

17:45 - Every year thousands of tourists descend upon DC to see one thing: cherry blossoms. You can't blame them; they are amazing. These blossoms came to the United States from Japan in 1912. First Lady Helen Taft presided over the ceremony that planted these amazing beauties in the ground. The original gift consisted of 12 different varieties of cherry trees, amounting to 3,200 trees total. With all of this historical significance and great weather about, I sundressed up, and I became one of those tourists.
